Mentoring & Coaching
We provide one on one as well as small group mentoring for our youth. We offer support in creating Youth Wellness Recovery Action Plans and can train high school students as Teen Mental Health First Aiders. The Cove also offers support groups grounded in research to develop wellness tools and healthy habits.

Academic Support
Our program's academic support focuses on schoolwork completion, emphasizing effort and persistence. Executive Function skill-building is our ultimate goal. Our Educational Coordinator assists youth and parents to monitor schoolwork, and the program provides time for schoolwork completion and catch-up. Advocacy for youth struggling academically is also available.
Recreation
At The Cove, we offer a variety of recreational and cultural options. Our goal is for our youth to experience new things and to have some time to relax and have fun without the influence of drugs or alcohol!

Job Readiness and "Adulting" Skills
We help our youth get ready for their next steps as well as step in to their already changing roles as young adults. We offer vocational or volunteering experiences monthly, and seek to help youth develop practical life skills. Team members also assist youth in completing job applications, writing resumes, budgeting or applying for a trade school or a university.
The Cove Team
Committed to Serving the Community
"Welcome to The Cove! I thank this group of colleagues, our beloved Southern Maryland community, and all those who make these services possible."
